Obama's parents divorced in March 1964 and Obama Senior returned to Kenya the same year; he visited Barack Obama in Hawaii only once, in 1971. This was the last because he died in 1982.

Stanley Ann Dunham remarried in 1965 with Lolo Soetoro, an Indonesian. Barack Obama and his mother followed Lolo Soetoro in Jakarta, Indonesia where, in 1970, was born Maya Soetoro, the Barack Obama's half sister. Barack Obama lives with them, in Indonesia from age 6 at 10.
